Standby/Screensaver: R/clik desktop/Settings/Screen Saver/Power/Advanced/Disable "Prompt for Password when computer resumes from Standy"/Apply
Click Hibernate tab; Disable "Enable Hibernation"/Apply/OK you way out of the screen.
Restart Password: START button /Settings /Control Panel /User Accounts /Change an Account /Administrator /Change My Password;
Enter the present password to log in; Make sure all boxes are BLANK (nothing in them) and ok your way out of the screens. This removes all passwords.

To just remove the password, go into Control Panel/User Accounts and remove password. If you want to just start up with the password ready entered (auto logon). Click Start/Run & type 'control userpasswords2' (without the ') press return. In the open box, unselect 'Users must enter.....' Click Apply & in the next box enter the username & password you want to open with.
