Comment:

I have a 12 Gb Western Digital harddisk which I would like to split into 3 partitions.
I made with FDISK a 5 Gb Primary C partition, a 7 Gb extended partition which excists out of a 5 Gb and a 2 Gb partition.
Everything worked out fine, except when I installed WindowsXP Pro, and I open "This Computer" it says that my C partition is only 2 Gb!.
I checked again with FDISK and Partition Magic 8 and it says the C partition is 5 Gb. Am I doing something terribly wrong?
Any thoughts on this?

What did you use to format c: with? So in xP's disk managers what do you see? Is the extended partitions 2gig logical drive showing as 2gig?

I used FDISK to format the drive with. In windows are the extended and logical drives OK. It's just the primary drive which shows 2 gig instead of 5
