i'm trying to install Windows 2000 Professional along with Windows XP, i have been trying to partition my C: drive (20 GBs) so i can install 2000 on a new partition, i have been using Disk Management to do this......However the C: drives "layout" according to Disk Management is "partition" so it wont let me apply another partition to it...the hard drive is a replacement one does that make a difference,,,this is kinda urgent,,, thanks

i think what you're trying to do is resize the partition which can't be done without specialised software, or without reinstalling the original OS and specifying a smaller partition on install.
