Comment:

I have installed this machine with Win XP Pro with NTFS in Drive C.

Now I want to create another drive (partition) called drive D and do not want to destroy my date which is in Drive C at the moment.

I cam scared to use FDISK as this may damage my data in Drive C.

What is the best suggesstion here

TIA

Dan

you'll need partitioning software such as partition magic, since fdisk would wipe your current installation.

It looks like Partition Magic is asking for $$$$ and can you suggest any other free downloadable utility which will also wont delete my existing data in Drive C:

TIA

Perhaps try a search in google for:

partition managers

or

free partition managers.

You should get a 'few' hits...?
