My Mom gave my daughter my recently deceased Dad's computer. When I ran Norton Speed Disk I got a message: "A 1906 MB DOS partition has been found but DOS currently can't access it. If you are unable to access a disk that you could access previously, revive this partition." It then asks me : "Do you want to revive this partition?" From what I can tell, there is only a "C" drive (40GB with 26GB available). Is there any way to ascertain what is behind the partition? What problem could reviving the partition cause? Any help would be appreciated.

Use partion magic, the newest version, it will allow you to view and save information behind that lost partion. I have succesfully recovered 3 lost partitions with it. If u dont want to buy it use the trial version and crack it with Serial 2K. This may not be legal but it saves money for new computer parts in the future and really which is more important.
