ok so i have a problem getting my 60 GB hard drive, which i used to have win xp on, to work. I can't see it in My computer, when I manage my coputer, it doesnt see it either. BIOS does see it, along with the other hard drive that is now running in xp pro. When i go to the device manager, it DOES see it, along with the other one. So i try reinstalling it, without success... here is the weird part..... I install partition magic 8 and 7 and they only work when I disable the 60 GB hard drive in the device manager. When I do disable it works fine, but I cant see the 60 GB hd. When i enable it, It gives me a "sector not found" error" (error 48). PLEASE HELP!!! thanks in advance

I tried installing it again and this time i get the error as follows... "Cannot install this Hardware There was a problem installing this hardware: WDCWD600BB-00CAA1 An error occured during the installation of the device The service database is locked" still need help... thanks again

hello i partion magic 7 create the resque disks and use those to see your drive you wish to change or format partions on.i do not have 8 so i dont know if it has resque disks. but you can do all the jobs partion magic dos in windows from the bootdisks. allso if you have two hard drives with the same o/s windows will not see it.you would have to modiy the ini on the other one so it would read like xp pro 2 or some other name of your choice.than windows and windows boot manager can do something with it.some times after cloneing a drive people reboot and corupt the registries of both drives because they both try to boot. jmho
