Okay. So I just resized a partition using Partition Magic 7. But now Windows(My Computer) sees the drive as "Local Disk (G:)" File System: RAW Capacity: 0 bytes.
The Disk Manager see's the drive as it's actual size, but empty.
When I try to go into it it asks me if I want to format the drive. PM sees the drive as being "Downloads (G:)", FAT32, 13954.9 MB
Which is what it's supposed to be. So I decided I would copy the partition and format it. But then, at the end of the copy proccess, it gives me an error, "Error #-107374160". So I upgraded to PM8, and tried to copy it again, same problem. I resized it thinking maybe I would get lucky, but no. So now I have 15,343 MB of unallocated space. I tried to make a new drive with it(FAT32), but get error #717 at the beginning(after updating system info I think, can't tell it goes to fast. Could be durring) I searched the PowerQuest site but could not find the error.I just want my drive back, though not loosing any data would be a big plus..
Thanks

Second person in two days to post a similar question. PM7 is not compatible with XP.
I don't think the other poster had any success recovering the operating system. I hope you've backed up your important stuff.
Format/reinstal ended up the last recommendation. If you have files on the disk that you absolutely have to recover then there are file recovery programs that may assist if you can take the drive and slave it into another machine to copy them across.Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
