Hello,
Heres a question,
I have installed a clean XP on my primary drive (c) from NT (and have a NT boot partition which I would like to get gone).
Now I have just physically added my Win98 HD from another computer.
Can I use Partition Magic 7 or something else to dual boot to either XP or Win98 on this other HD?
If so, how can I do this, any help would be appreciated...

Well... i would have tried it, but it seems that my copy of pm7 is lacking bootmagic.... Kinda not sure why (prolly coz i didnt pay for it :-P) ummm... can you get bootmagic as a standalone package from somewhere, coz powerquest dont sell it separately from what i can tell, and i dont want to pay bloated prices for software i wont even use (pm7)

OK...... i tried what you were doing and completely f---ed up my hd... had to install winxp and pm7 on my win98 drive to fix the mess... basically.. bootmagic wont work on an NTFS partition... (wont even install), so you have to make your boot partition fat32.. fortunately, i think pm7 can convert it to fat32, but id stay with ntfs if i were you. There is another thread somewhere round here that mentions BOOTSTAR, and the fella recons that will do what you require, and took him about 3 minutes to set up... i suggest you try that..
