Hi, My laptop does not have parallel port, but only 2 usb ports (Toshiba Portege).
On the other hand, my scanner can be connected only though a parallel port (its Canon N640p).
In order to solve this problem, I was told that using a IEEE1284 DB-25to USB cable would be able to solve the problem. However, it didnt. Everytime, I get an error message "No scanners detected".. The operating system is Windows XP.
