Hello Sir

I recently bought new HP laptop DV6670. I want to ask solution of my problem , i start as follows:

I connected a simple bluetooth dongle in my desktop PC for simple file transfer b/w my laptop and my desktop PC .My that bluetooth dongle also supports "PAN"(Personal Area Networking)service through which the internet(a broadband connection i have)running on my desktop PC can be run on my laptop too by using PAN service. My LAPTOP also supports PAN services that’s why i can do this job. In past days i was successfully running the internet on my LAPTOP without any barriers or problems by simply switching on the bluetooth dongle on my desktop PC and then finding my desktop PC on my LAPTOP, even my laptop gets the IP address automatically. When both recognizes each other, internet start running on my laptop. But from one month back, i am unable to run internet on my laptop.

What goes happen that , my laptop finds my desktop PC and in the task bar there is a computer icon having a “red cross” over it means no connectivity exist at the moment , that cross sign also gets disappear means laptop has find my desktop PC and interconnection b/w them has developed but but but I couldn’t access the internet after all this story. I think my laptop isn’t getting the ip address automatically. I entered the same ip address that is currently shown in my desktop PC into my laptop but no gain I get.

Sir please tell me what to do , how do I run internet on my laptop, I know a wireless router is a solution of this , but that costs too much about $50 and this small Bluetooth dongle which cost me only $5 can do the same job that a wireless router can do(regardless of range). At least I know that this can be done using Bluetooth dongle because as I told above, I have done it before successfully .I’ve also read the guide from Bluetooth manufacture, it isn’t providing enough help.

Now please please suggest me what to do, how to do, to run internet on my laptop using bluetooth dongle

Is the bluetooth dongle working in the pc? Appears this is where the issue is.

Make sure any software firewalls on the pc are configured to allow your laptop access.

Check device manager on the pc to see if the dongle is loading and active.

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search
