Hi,

I recently installed a trial of Panda Titanium Antivirus 2004. To make a long story short, I'd like to uninstall it, but it's not working. I've gone through Add and Remove programs, but only to have nothing happen when I click remove. There is no uninstall icon in the Panda folder, I've tried to reinstall it and uninstall, but it will not even reinstall. Everytime I restart my computer, it pops up. I do not need nor want it anymore and the all too familiar panda head on my taskbar has become an annoyance. If anyone can shed some light on the situation I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
-Kristin

A Google search for uninstall Panda turned up a lot of information. Sounds complicated. Don't blame you for wanting to get rid of it. Check it out.

I recommend you boot in safe mode than uninstall through control panel>Add/Remove programs and see if it comes off totally, some of it will.

Next go into the registry (be V.Careful) and delete the entries under Panda anti-virus. I had the same problem and my puter would freeze with the panda's head when I logged in, but it's all been sorted out now, except for that stubborn entry on add/remove programs which still remains.

If you don't know how to edit the registry, don't bother, just get a program like RegCleaner it will do it for you safely and keeps backup entries just in case.

Good luck!

I tried the safe mode thing a few weeks ago and I still couldn't delete anything. I just don't understand it.

Kristin I think I've found a solution for removing Panda AV, go to the site below, download and install crowbar.

CROWBAR (7KB)

Other than that you'd have to do a system restore to just before you installed Panda.

Good Luck.
