Hello everybody!
I just installed the Windows XP professional in my comp. but
it seems that when I scroll the page down it scrolls very
slowly, to explain it better, it has wave kind a motion, the
page does not go down quick and smoothly. What could I try
to solve this problem?
Thanks.

You need to install your display drivers to resolve that issue, once you do that the scroll speed should go back to normal.

After following the above mentioned advice,

How much video RAM does your laptop have?

Can you share more of your physical RAM with the video subsystem?

Find out who makes your vid card...like Nvidia or Radeon(sp?) and download the drivers.

Or you can go to your laptop mfgr's website and get the WinXP drivers for your exact model number and video specs.

That should do the trick.

(since XP worked with the laptop before)

What you can try is to take of the transparency effect on the display of the desktop.

Control panel
- display
- click on the appearance tab at the top
- click on effects
- take of the two ticks at the top
(use the following transiion effect...)
and
(use the following method to smooth...)
that fixed my problem.
