Can I use the PAE/ in my boot.ini file to make my system utilize more of the installed RAM ,or will that switch work on systems with only 4G.B. of Memory or more ?
Any reply gratefully appreciated !
Thanks ,Take Care Nick

I'm sure this is a follow up to your question in hardware. That fact is, you apparently don't run any apps that require anywhere near 3GB memory, even when you're multitasking. You can't force your system to use more RAM than it needs.
Like I said in the other post, had you asked your question(s) BEFORE buying the RAM, most people would have told you that 2GB was plenty & adding another 1GB would just be a waste of time & money.

Nick, if it will make you happier you can open more of your programs at the same time. This will then use more of the available RAM. You evidently aren't reading the responses or this post would not exist.
I will try another analogy. You are moving. You can use a pickup truck which may take many trips or you can rent a large moving truck. What size truck will work. If all your belongings will fit into a 16' cube van then renting a 32' truck would be overkill, as half the truck capacity would be empty after loading all your belongings.
So, too little RAM can cause you to take longer for the move but too much space will not speed things up at all.
Keep in mind that the 32' truck rental was twice the 16' rental.

Hi Guys,
I believe I have gotten the point of what you are both saying ! Oh well I spend 45.00 on lunch sometimes ,so I will live with the extra RAM .I honestly would rather have given the $ to a charity that help Children ,like Childrens Hospital ! Live and learn ,sometimes it takes me a couple of times making the same mistake B/4 I learn my lesson ! Thanks Agin to both of you !
Take Care Nick
