In the enterprise enviroment which i work software is distrubuted in our managment system. The software apps are called "packages" and they contain all the configuration needed to install, basically requiring no user input. My question is how do comapines do this. How can they basically streamline an application to the point where its a point and click install requiring no user input. And once installed its in a designeated folder. What tools are needed for this.

You might be talking about SMS, it is a stream line program that pushes updates and programs to computer that are on a domain.

I dont belive its SMS. I know that it can push updates out to other workstations but what i am talking about is say for example, you have an application such as AIM. AIM can get pushed unto a user's PC without them noticing. They dont have to press "next" or anything.
