Since I built this computer, I have had problems with it shutting down. I found out it is because of the temperature. As soon as the room temp hits 80 the computer begins to lock up. I think it has something to do with the overheating saftey... is there anyways to fix this problem?
My second problem is recently I got some type of virus/maleware on my computer that spawns random exe files that run in the background. Such as dfsiq4.exe, since I have gotten this I can not run streaming media, it simply shuts down the program trying to access the media. I have deleted the perfetch files for the spawns, however I do not know how to get rid of the main virus, and no anti viruses or scanners I have found detect it. Anyone have leads on this? Its really annoying... no launchcast for me.... GRRRRR lol.

Some mobo's allow you to set a safety temp within the bios while others are set in concret and can't be changed. If the latter is yours then you only have a few options.
1) If overclocked, back it off a little either the cpu or graphics till it doesn't overheat
2)Add more cooling fans/change the cables to round (if flat) and make sure air flow is not being restricted. HDD coolers can be added to slots...sleeves (tunneling) for direct airflow to or away from hardware stuff like that.
3) Change to a liguid cooling system...Highly recommended with the higher clock speeds and faster/larger cpu's
4) you might be able to just remove the side panels and use a small house fan to blow thru the open box.

As to the other issue, I don't think it is a virus/worm...but some malware that you have allowed in. download these three things and update them and run them
1) spywareblaster
2)spybot search & destroy
3)highjack this
run the first 2 and see if it stops the problem then run highjack this and post the log file here and someone will help you out. Just be sure to mention that you used the first 2 when you post so that we don't have to go over this again.

Liquid cooling is overkill unless you are an edge of the envelope overclocker--expensive, too. If you are locking up at 80F the first thing I would look at is the cpu heatsink and fan. Sounds like it's not seated correctly and heat isn't being transferred properly.

Well, as for the cooling thing, I have one of the case sides off and I have two blower type fans that used to be on a fireplace blasting cool air into the case, and it still goes at 80F. I have used many programs to look for the maleware, yet, I can not find any. I have used spybot, adaware, and Trend Micro Antivirus, none have found the particular maleware. I have even looked manually, and can not find it. I will have the check the heat sinks, I never thought about that. Can anyone post about how to adjust the temp safety in the bios? Thats something Ive never done before and I do not want to tamper with it.
