Hello,
With Outlook XP/2002, is there anyway to share Contacts and Calendars in a corporate environment without using Exchange?
Thank you,
Stephan

I would also like to hear from anyone with news on this as I used Outlook 2000 all the time for that very thing and now it will not work at all without Exchange even though it says it will.
The help file tells you to activate the permissions tab but that does not work for me as the teb is not there. Will have to go back to 2000 I think.
Please email me with any news
Stephen

Why are MS removing features like this???
Does anyone know where this has gone?
I'm not really interested in free/busy options - I just want to share my calendar like I could on 2000

thought this may help:
as taken from...

In previous versions of Outlook, there was no way to share your free/busy times with colleagues without Exchange Server. In Outlook 2002, you and your coworkers can share to your heart's content, Exchange Server or no. But before you can begin, you have to jump through these hoops:Select Tools > Options, then click the Preferences tab. Click the Calendar Options button, then click the Free/Busy Options button near the bottom left.
In the Free/Busy Options dialog, enter the number of months of calendar info that you want to share and the interval between updates.
Check the "Publish and search using Microsoft Office Internet Free/Busy Service" box if you want to use Microsoft's free server; if you have your own server, you'll want to check "Publish at my location" and enter the server's address in the field.
You'll probably need to install some Outlook components, so grab the XP CD-ROM and have it ready if necessary.
Finally, to use Microsoft's server for sharing free/busy info with others, you must have a Passport account. With this account ID and password, you can log on to the Microsoft's free/busy server via the Web.
