Good morning all,
I am having trouble with a Windows XP station and our Exchange 2000 server Outlook Web Access (OWA).(The server is fine, and the OWA works fine from all other computers)
At this users home computer they are able to log into OWA without any problems (a bit slow) but the problems come when they try to read emails.
It is not every email or certain people, but the user sometimes gets emails that when he double click on, he gets (This Page Cannot be Displayed) It is not emails from a certain person, nor is it just emails with attachments. It is quite random. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
FYI,
His is using a Cable ISP, and is running Microsoft AntiSpyware, McAfee Virus Scan, and McAfee Firewall.I originaly thought it was the firewall, but I have disabled it, exited out of it, and stopped the service and I still get the same problem.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Mario-

It definitely still sounds like a piece of malware. Try as many of the Security Tools as possible, something is bound to get rid of it.
Try getting them to use a different web browser (one not based on IE) to access the Outlook web interface.

James,
The computer had originaly had a bad infection of Malware, but after hours of cleaning I believe it is ok now. (MS AntiSPyware, Adaware, Spybot S&D, Spysubtract, CW Shredder, Hijack This, all come up clean)Mike,
The problem is not with emails and attachments. Using OWA, when you double click on and email it opens up in a new window. The is where I get "this page can not be displayed". But it is not all of them, just every once in a while, one or two. Probably 2 our of every 30.Thanks for your help guys,
-Mario-

This problem may be associated with the subjectline of the email message.
Within the office network an email with the subject:
re: your mail/letter concerning 10%
Can be opened and viewed.Outside the office this mail will not open since it will not pass the securitychecks due to the presence of the symbols "/" and %.
These are symbols that are used in URL's for breaking in into domains. Using OWA outside the physical networks, you can not use those forbidden (/ \ {}*&%) charcaters.
