I'm using Outlook 2002 in Win XP pro and just checking email or moving a few emails from one folder to another can take more than 5 mins.

Any suggestions on tweaking Outlook besides doing a Windows/Office update?

Run Scanpst.exe on your pst file. It may be damaged.

Run the repair Office tool.
go to add remove programs and the to your office XP installation and click modify, there should be an option to repair office.

if all that fails uninstall and reinstall just the outlook component of office.

make sure you back up you PST files.

hope this helps.

Outlok Express rules (too) . . .

01. Single user - multiple emails.
02. Very, very fast.
03. User friendly, and built in help
04. Very, very fast.
05. Configurable to the max - easily.
06. Small files sizes for saving.
07. Import utility from other programs.
08. Very, very fast.
09. Email toys like sound, pics, video.
10. Internationally, critically acclaimed.
11. Very thorough, built in help.
12. Export utility - to other PCs.
13. Blah, blah, blah,blah, blah . . .

My wife and I were both "die hard" Netscape users and thought that we'd never switch. But man, Outlook Express truly is the hottest email program on earth. I don't know why anyone would ever use anything else or evne any of those stupid AOL or other ISP versions - since you can have it all with one single installation, that you can use for any ISP at any time - thereby making switching and money saving in the future (with lower priced ISPs) much more convenient.

Hey Intel, AMD rulez!

Hiya,

You can view the headers with Outlook - right click on the item in your inbox and select Options.
