About 4 days ago I started experiencing trouble with Outlook 2003. Every time I go to send/recieve emails via outlook now I get the following errors on ALL my email accounts.
"Recieving reported error (0x800CCC15): Unable to connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem"
"Recieving reported error (0x8004210A) The operation timed out waiting for a response from the recieving (pop) server. If you continue to recieve this message, contact your Server Administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP)"
"Recieving reported error (0x8004210A) The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (smtp) server. If you continue to recieve this message, contact your Server Administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP)"
Trouble with this error is I have not lost my internet/network connection. All my other programs and applications can utilize my connection just fine.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I have email accounts with 2 different ISPs. This is not an external issue it has to be something with my computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Danno

The easiest way to fix this prob is to call the ISP support desk. It's a fairly common problem.PS: Sometimes caused by Zone Alarm, but generally the network adaptor needs to be reset.

I had already done all those things you suggested. In fact a few hours later it started working again. I am not exactly sure why. I did not reboot my machine for about 5 days and now since I have rebooted it has begun again. I then restarted again in safe mode to see if it would work in safe mode with networking and it did. Only when I start in regular mode does it seem to be "blocked" from network and only outlook. I even did a REPAIR on outlook going so far as to default all my settings and that did no good. The trouble is not outlook itself it would seem but some other program or application that is hindering it. I have run spybot search and destroy. I have run Adaware SE with the newest dated engine. I have run Mcafee virus scan and it found nothing.
The default port settings for Outlook are port 25 and port 110. My firewall is set to allow Outlook full unrestricted access. I am not working offline. All of my email account settings were not changed and they had been working for years and I have email accounts at more then one ISP. I have 3 different ISPs that I use and these problems are not restricted to just 1 it has effected them all.
Something that I am not finding would seem to be blocking only outlook. Any ideas or helping hands?
Thanks,
Danno
