Outlook not closing in task manager after exi

Microsoft Outlook 2003 (full product)
December 19, 2009 at 11:12:23
Specs: Windows XPPro
When I close Outlook 2003 it appears to close normally on the screen, but is still running when I check the Task Manager. I can close it in the Task Manager, but would much prefer to have it work like it should. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't there a "new-mail-indicator" program running ? That would be TSR.

If not, download a kill program, and use it after stopping Outlook.

google : download kill.exe
