If I click on Outlook it starts OK, but fails to receive mail, giving an error message that it can't find the server. However, if I start mail through the IE toolbar everything works OK. Really annoying, can anyone help?

When you click mail tab in explorer is it checking mail with outlook express or outlook? If its checking email with outlook express and getting your mail then you need to set your settings the same in outlook as you have them in outlook express.

Make sure your "Incoming Mail" (Pop3) and your "Outgoing Mail" (SMTP) have the same server/ISP name.
i.e. - mail.(yourservername).com?/net?/org?
Also make sure that your user name and password are entered correctly. Most internet connections are case sensitive. If it's a Capital "G" and you type "g", it will reject it. Hope it works - good luck!
