My HD crashed, but I have a copy of all the files on the old HD which I copied to a directory on the new HD. How can I restore all my email and address? I know where the files are but can't seem to import them from Outlook. I have also tried to copy and paste the files into the new outlook, but when I do this I can't open my inbox - it tells me that the shortcut is invalid. I think this is because the the user names are different from the old install and the new install. I have been searching the past posts but can't seem to find and answer. Please help.

I thought I had the pst file, but can't seem to find it. It's not in the ..\application data\microsoft\outlook folder and a serch does not come up with any PST files, not even with the new install of outlook. The above post doesn't help I can't use the old install, what I have is a copy of the files from the old HD that I put in a folder on the new HD. The copy of the files from the old HD contains all files form the old HD windows and everything, but can't find any PST files.
Please HElp

OK, I found problem - After reading some more I realized I needed to enable hidden and system file search. I was then able to locate the PST files and then import into Outlook. All is well.
