I am going out of town and would like to be able to retrieve my email off a different computer. Can I change the settings in Outlook Express on the other computer (pop server, incoming & outgong servers, etc.) and get my messages? Will it mess up my dad's account by doing that-- i.e., will I be able to change it back to his settings & everything will be just as it was?? Thanks for the help!

u don't need to change so many settings justopen your outlook express and go to tools>> accounts and click on your account ( email Id) and click on "properties" next click on "advanced" and put a check mark on "leave acopy on server" .
now u will b able to receive your mail from so many pc's in different places. but don't forget to carry out this steps in all pcs.

Don't mess with his settings. Just add another account with your info. The outgoing server is going to be his server anyway. If you are not going to use OE to reply to mail then you don't even have to get that part working. You can always go to one of the online mail places also.
