Outlook Express third post

This is my third post regarding the unavailability of Outlook Express after XP upgrade.Have downloaded Microsoft's "patch" and now recieve two error messages: Message Store could not be opened and MSOE could not be initialized. Both are in the folder. Last week I reinstalled XP and created another user. Outlook Express worked fine for this user but still not for me. Over the past three months I have tweaked and customized XP to my liking. I want Outlook Express but not at the price of forfeiting all that work. Seems to me that my problem is in the registry. Can anyone help me with this angle? What should I look for to change and to what? The registry is such a maze to me that it's not a question of simply comparing the two and making changes from there. Thanks.

I was never happy with Outlook Express as it always seemed to freeze up after sending one or two emails. There are plenty of other email clients to use http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10063.html?tag=dir I'm using Incredimail with no problems, and there are plenty of free email services such as Hotmail (hotmail.com) available on the internet. No sense fighting with a program that won't work right when there are plenty of free alternatives.

I'm using Incredimail now too. Since Microsoft won't do what I want I've traded it in for eye-candy. Unfortunately, I miss my newsgroups. Of course ther's the frustration of not being able to make OE do what it is suppossed to in the first place.
