I have both Windows 98 & Windows XP installed in different partitions. I share the same folder for storing the emails of Outlook Express for Windows 98 and Windows XP.
Now the problem is I can't open any of the email attachments in Windows XP and the same attachments I can open in Windows 98. Please give me a solution.
are both drives fat32?? its a must so that one can read files from each partition.

Being that he can even see the e-mails in windows 98 Indicates to me that he is using Fat32 for the sharing drive.
What exactly happens when you get an attachment in the windows XP? Does it give you an error message of some kind?
Have you turned off the option in -Tools - Options - Security "tab" - "Untick the box that says "Don't allow me to open attachments that could potentionly be a virus"
If this doesn't help let us know the error message and what exactly happens.
