outlook express not working

having big issues with not being able to receive emails.I can send but it won't receive.I was thinking about deleteing the whole program from the computer and installing it again.Anyone with any answers on this would be much appreciated

If you haven't all ready done this - check your account properties while in outlook express. Click on tools then accounts and then mail tab. Click on properties, then servers and check that your outgoing mail is correct. I have "my server requires authentication" checked, but I don't know if that is the problem?

already went thru all of that stuff with a represenative.All settings are correct.The rep. told me that it is possible that outlook is having problems.

You might want to try the system file checker. Click on start then run and type in sfc /scannow. Note the space between the c and the /. This will replace any system files that are missing or corrupted. Anything that it repairs will be noted in the event viewer when the scan is finished.
