outlook express not responding

When I click on outlook express it freezes. The cursor turns into an hour glass and the only way to get out of it is hit ctrl/alt/del. Then it sends me to task manager that says outlook express not responding. I have found websites with solutions, but it sends you into the registry and I am not comfortable with this, since I am not very good on the comp. Is there someone out there who can walk me through this? Thank you in advance

how long has the computer done this?? in system tools in programs is a system restore. run that utility, see if you can go back far enough to when the computer was okay.

This started Wednesday night. I have tried to go back before that and still nothing.
