If you go to Add/Remove programs > Add/Remove Windows components, you will find Outlook Express.

To find the Outlook Express DBX files, do a search for *.dbx.

I have no clue about the 'DIRECT BD NOTIFY/WNDPROC'.

It would help if you transcribed that message correctly.

It is DB, not BD - huge difference, don't you think?

Yes, it does relate to OExpress. Do regular maintenance of your computer, and OE.
Take out the trash:
• Temp&Temporary Internet Files files
Trim the size of your OE folders
• Compress Folders, etc.
Avoid using any "helpers" within OE, etc.

I am quite sure it is DB, not BD... look again.

Regardless, follow the advice in post #2 -- that may resolve your problem.
