I have just recently begun experiencing a problem in my Outlook Express and hope someone has an answer. Once I receive an email and open it, Outlook Express is deleting the email. Not while I still have OE open but when I return again to my inbox all read email are gone. Not in deleted-just gone.
Luckily, I have Outlook and am now using it but I like Outlook Express better.
I've looked under options and have not found anything that would do what OE is doing.

If you have ALOT of email, it could be deleting them because the file outlook uses can only reach 1.8 Gb. When it reaches this point funny things start happening.

Do you have a views bar open. If so it may be set to hide read email. Go to View Layout and uncheck "Views Bar".
