My Outlook Express asked me 'To free up space. Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take up to a few minutes"
All my messages are there except my 'Sent Messages' These messages are very important. How do I un-compact them if that is what happened. Or how do I find the messages that have been compacted?

Scott, I run compact quite often, in my experience of it I have never seen any folders disappear. I think the action of the compact reduces the size of the .mdb files in you application directory a sort of defrag if you will. Try a search for *.mdb files, allow hidden & system files in the search. If it is not visible the sent folder may have been deleted. Tried a google search? Alternativly contact your ISP maybe they can restore or send you your sent items? Good luck
