Ihave an xp os/compaq 8000 cto series/1.47 amd/dial-up 56k modem/msn exploer isp. Unable to set up outlook express, won't except password or username. Get error messages (ox800ccod, ox800cc4005, ox800ccc18 ox800ccc90) Is this a problem with outlook express or my isp. My msn explorer won't automatically notify of new mail until I click on the e-mail icon on the explorer page. I have gone round and round with my isp and made multiple corrective attempts with support personel, until I finally gave up. This Is Why I'm attempting to read mail through outlook express. Also I'm going to change my isp soon and would like to fix this problem before I do. Plus I'm unable to filter out junk mail as well with msn-hotmail.

I gather your using msn as your isp. What server settings are you using?? POP3 or HTTP account. More info would help.

Thank you for your response! I am using a pop3 (pop3.email.msn.com)

If your using MSN Explorer, then MSN has your account set as a HTTP account. You need to either have them change the account type or setup a HTTP account in OE
