I am having problems with receiving emails
with outlook express. When I click on the
send/receive button it says messages are bing
downloaded, but it does this forever and
nothing changes. any ideas? when I send
emails out of live mail I get this the following
error:

Subject 'test'
Server Error: 553
Server Response: 553 sorry, that domain isn't
in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
Server: 'webmail.latronicalaw.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC79
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No

Just for clarification, 'MS Outlook' and 'MS Outlook Express' are different packages. This does not however affect the advice given in #1.

I did try this method. I renamed many files old. After doing so I
received ad e= error from outlook express saying the program is
not configured properly and needs to be reinstalled.
I found my XP disk and no progress. Now I used restore mode
and I am back to square one. I will try your method and let you
know.
