Hi all.

I am using outlook express 6 with windows xp pro service pack 3.
I have a password for my email, but anyone can bypass this by pressing cancel and then go straight to my inbox.
(It seems the password is only for downloading or sending new emails.

Please help me with some security over my Outlook!

Thanks.... hope you all had a good easter.

lee123abc, what if you simply send sensitive mail to a separate folder which can be PW protected, zipped, etc.? Don't keep sensitive mail in inbox.

You can put a password on the identity you're using. If it is
just you, it'll probably be the "Main Identity." Go to "File",
"Identities", "Manage Identities."

Then select your "identity" and check "require a password."
It'll prompt you at startup to enter it.

Hope that helps, Dan
