In OUTLOOK EXPRESS, anyone know how to DELETE an entry of an email address from the recipient listing?

If you are talking about removing a recipient address from an email that you have RECEIVED, then yes. Drag a copy of the email from Outlook Express onto your desktop. Then open the email using notepad. You can then remove/change any of the information in the email. However, sometimes certain data is kind of cryptic and you might have to do a little trial and error. Once you are done you can copy the email back into Outlook Express.

Thanks for the reply, but what I should have originally asked was for an email address to delete that I entered into the address book myself.
There is no right click or delete buttin obvious.

EC
Open the Address Book and Remove the relevant entry...
..double click the Entry and then - Name Tab - use the Remove Button
Is this what you meant?
Or - in the same place - change the e-mail Address - if that's what you meant

PS - if you want to completely Remove someone then in the Address Book you should be able to Right click on the Entry and there is a Delete on the little Menu - can you not get that ?
Lesley

Thanks for the replies.
Single or double click only adds the listed address to the TO: field and right click only displays
TO, NEW< CC, ACTION, FIND, PROPERTIES etc.
There just does NOT seem to be a way to DELETE any EMAIL ADDRESS that a person ADDS to their ADDRESS BOOK in OUTLOOK EXPRESS and then later wants to delete.

EC
If you open the Address Book and then Doubleclick on the Name whose Address you wish to Remove - then - you get a small window with several Tabs....
..using the Name Tab - you should see a Remove Button on the Right
Lesley

Yep, that got it, I overlooked it in the property fields, but knew it had to be there. Thanks lesley and all who responded.
