Hello,

I am getting an error in Outlook that says...

Message number 2 could not be retrieved. Account: 'pop-server.nycap.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.nycap.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '<script type="text/javascript">_popupControl();</script>', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD

The server responded with an error. Account: 'pop-server.nycap.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.nycap.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: 'Return-Path: <bo-bv65g7sab4ppkcaxcfqyua1sdt63q8@b.email.newegg.com>', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

This error causes me to receive all emails that I received that day to appear again.

This repeats every time I open Outlook. Is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks for any help.

Remove the email account from Outlook. Double-check with your ISP that you're using the correct incoming and outgoing servers. When you recreate the account, increase your server timeouts. (More Settings, Advanced).
