Outlook crashed - have i lost all?

I was typing an email and a power cut occurred. NOw when i try and open outlook, i get the following message:
"Cannot Start MS OFfice OUtlook. Unable to open the outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition exists."

If you are connecting to an exchange server the mail resides on the server. have your admin correct the outlook problem, you should be fine

When i put "im not on a network", i was implying that i do not use exchange. Its a personal PC. APologies for confusion.
ive searched for the pst files but cannot find anything, surely the pc wouldnt delete them if it crashed?
I cant bare to lose all this data, but looks like i have!

sorry, I missed that line. Make sure you have your folder options set to show hidden files. by default I think the pst may be hidden so it may not show in a search unless you have it setup to show. It is still there somewhere. Should be C:\Documents and Settings\your name here\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook - or - C:\Documents and Settings\your name here\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
