Not sure what you mean by ask for name.

Anyway once you've put in mail server addreses you need to input your e-mail address and the password you use to login to the BT BB service

Most mail is set up like this...

pop = mail.btinternet.com
smtp = smtp.btinternet.com

username would be your_user_name@btinternet.com
or just your_user_name if you don't have to put the full address in.
password xxxxxxxx

Hi

This may help? Open up Outlook, left click Tools then from the menu left click Accounts. If set up correctly you should see mail.btinternet.com in the list. Double click on this and then left click the Servers tab from the window that opens up

Left click on "My server requires authentication" to put a tick in the box. Click OK

Both POP3 and SMTP should be mail.btinternet.com

Try sending again to see if this has worked
