I think it depends on when you opened a hotmail account. They sent me a letter that I could but I never do. Seems to me I had it setup as a pop3 account. See if the help at hotmail tells how to set it up.

since msn announced they were introducing ,msn accounts again, they explained you can no longer use outlook to retrieve your mails. If however you've had a hotmail account for at least 3 months, then you can. edit the account and change the pop3 to http or hotmail. the rest follows suit. mail address and password.

I have my outlook express setup to handle both my ISP mail and also Hotmail. I have had the Hotmail account for for about 8 years now. Jusy open outlook express. Go to tools tab. select accounts. select add new email acct. type in your info and should work okay. then you can go to your addressbook and syncronize your email addresses also. Have fun!
