Outlook 2003 PST Error

I resently installed MS Office 2003. Everything works great except Outlook. When I try to open it it says "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The file...Outlook.pst is not compatible with this version of the personal folders information service."
I checked the directory that Outlook.pst is supposed to be in, and it's not there. I tried running thec repair feature on office, no luck. Has anyone seen this before? If so, how can I fix it?
