Hi,
A wee problem that is driving me mad!Outlook continually prompts for a password on send and receiving, even though the password is actualy filled in. I hit Ok and it goes through.
I have 5 POP3 Accounts and it happens on 2 at a tiome, different ones every time.
I've duplicated the account, and even the profile but to no avail,
Any one know how to sort this?

Are all of you POP3 / SMTP settings for the same ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Are the the email addresses different?

every on is different,
I'm hosting 4 of the accounts through different domains , one is a gmx account.
Forgot to say, this is a clean install of XP, didnt have this problem b4,

jopolson, The Microsoft link below may be of some help.
Save password setting not retained in Outlook or Outlook Express
Tufenuf

Thanks Tufenuf but i tried that.
My problem is slightly different in that the password remains filled in, that whats makes it so strange!
I get the password prompt, the password is filled in already, i just hit ok and it goes through ok.
Really annoying.......

Anyone got any other ideas for this?
I've just completed another clean install of windws and i'm still getting exactly the same thing.
I am restoring all my mail from a PST but i didnt think that any account settings in it?
Is it a persmissions problem?
