I would like to setup outlook 2002 so that when i minimize the program and a new email comes up an orange bar flashes on the bottom of the screen that means there is a message waiting to be checked. How do you set this up in outlook

Open Outlook, click on Tools / Options.

On the Preferences tab click Email Options. Then, in the top section, look for “Display a notification message when new mail arrives.”

If you have Outlook minimized, the top section should turn a different color.
