Outlook 2002 Error

Specs: Windows XP, ?

Since a XP Repair Install on my friends PC there appears to be a problem with Outlook 2002.
The program opens but when you click send/rec we get error - "An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program"

Having looked on the net I have tried to run regsvr32 ole32.dll which said successfull but made no difference.

She uses Firefox & Outlook rather than IE & OE. I have seen differing information on the net -

One site said that "Outlook Exress" needs to be installed for Outlook to work.

Another said that Outlook & Outlook Express are totally seperate software and have nothing to do with each other.

Can anyone offer any advice as to the solution to this problem.

Unfortunately she cannot find the MS Office discs so cannot try to reinstall.

Thanks.

For future reference, Outlook questions should be posted in the Office Software Forum. What Service Pack is installed?

Your friend should locate the CDs, since a Repair of Office may be required.

My apologies for posting in the wrong section.

Thank you for your reply. Looks as though she is going to have to search harder for those discs.

Thanks again.

You could try removing her Outlook profile and recreating it using the same pst file.
