I have this virus(OPTIXPRO.11) on my computer !
Thinking the files were not part of the system
(and there were hidding as windows system files)
I deleted them !
After reboot the run>execute cannot run
anything ! (Have to go on COMMAND window terminal to be able to)
I went to WINDOWS\System32\Restore
to run rstrui.exe to run the GUI to restore the system as it was before ...
It worked the first time ... but then
after trying to remove the virus (following PC TREND online virus scan instructions) I came back to were I was (before restoring)
then I tried to restore again and couldn't do it !!
Any idea what mistakes I did ?
DrD
PS
PC Trend said to change regedit.exe in .com
... when it didn't work I rechange it to .exe
but may be too late ??

I think regedit shouldn't be renamed, but if you do you will get: regedit.com.exe , so not regedit.com.

But i don't think this post will help you anyway. :S
