option missing when i connect my mp3 player.

Specs: Windows XP home, 2Gb
run xp home and opera browser.

i got a new pc the other day as my old one died on me.
with my old one i could plug in my mp3 player and i would then get a list of choices as to what i wanted to do with it.

synch the files with wmp.
take no action.
open files in windows explorer.

i would choose the last option and everything would be fine.
now though with this new pc[and obviously a different copy of xp home] i only get the choice of the first 2.

i've just spent ages trying to stop wmp automatically wanting to synch my player everytime i connected it. thankfully it looks like that was successful.

however is there a way to get the 'open files in windows explorer choice back in that list of options?
without it my player is more or less useless now. when i plug my camera into the computer i DO get that particular choice i'm looking for.

all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
