I have tried to install my new Optical wheel mouse on my box with Windows XP, and nothing has worked. I have followed all directions in the manual, and no light ever comes on the mouse. I tried all the usb ports, and ps2. However i tried using it on my win 2000 box, and it worked fine. Does someone know the problem?

Make sure you have enabled or connected the mouse by pressing the button on the receiver. If this is not clear, check the help file in MS re: optical mouse. It's really quite simple, and I just don't remember the exact procedure.
