i just formatted and fresh install of xp now when i startup it asks for xp pro or previous operating system on c: I already went to my computer, advanced, and hit edit under startup and the boot file looks like this what do i change?

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

Make sure to make a copy of this file before making any changes.

Change to similar to this:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

No need to edit manually, go to the Startup and recovery Dialog, select default OS from drop down list and set Time to display operating systems to 0
