As often as not this means that the hard disk has failed.

Try tapping F8 continuously after starting the computer to see if you get the startup menu. If so select Safe Mode and see if it comes up (it will look a bit odd but often fixes can be made from there).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Is there anything on the hard disk you'd like to recover/save; anyhting you wouldn't wishto lose - regardless of the situation...?

Try this.

"It is very common for PC users to be faced with a Windows crash. When this happens, the dreaded 'Blue Screen of Death' pops up, or your PC has a black screen and can not boot or start up"

Did anything happen to it or did you make any changes between the last time it worked OK and the first time it didn't?

Try to enter into BIOS and put your HARD disk as first booting device
