Please can anyone help ...
I've been given a Fujitsu E-Series Lifebook with a formatted 10 gig H/D.
Having installed XP o.k. ... each time the laptop starts up it errors saying:
'Operting system not found' ... however if the install cd is in the CD drive ... it boots up fine.
I've tried checking the bios 'boot-up' sequence and it's fine that being :
1) A drive
2) CD rom
3) H/DiskI've even tried re-arranging the order ... but still no success.
Can anyone help
Thanks in advance

this is how u should setup your boot sequence..
First boot device = IDE=0
second boot device = CDROM
third boot device = FloppyTHAT WILL WORK :)
if not.. re-install your, and have IDE-0 as first boot device.

Thanks,
I tried re-arranging the boot order.. no joy. So I've just reformated and re-installed XP again ... but with the same result!
Any other ideas at all, anyone please
Thanks

Set the BIOS to autodetect the HardDisk if it has that option.
