I don't know exactly when this happened but now when I double click on a .jpg mail attachment I get the File Save Open/Save dialog box but the "Always ask" box is ticked and greyed out so I can't change it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi KiNel

Go to Folder Options / File Types
Highlight JPG in the list
Click Advanced
Put a tick in the box for
"Confirm open after download"

Good luck

Thanks for that but it's not the answer I'm afraid.

All that does is bring up the "Opening mail attachment" dialog but there is another box after that "File download" which is the warning about some files being dangerous blah blah blah and the options to OPEN or SAVE and this is where the "Always ask....." button is ticked and greyed out.
