Specs: Windows XP
I need to download a TDF file for a Topfield Receiver, but my Win XP does not recognise the file. How can I download it to a USB Stick then transfer to the Topfield? Thanks.

We have a Topfield Receiver and my husband wants to update it which can be done by downloading a file from the Topfield Website. He asked me to download it from the Website onto a USB Stick, which apparently, he can then plug into the Topfield Receiver and update. I went into the website, downloaded and clicked 'save'. It asked where I wanted it saved to, but only gave me certain options. I saved it to Note book, then tried Sdobe but neither work.

I'm doing the same thing for my Topfield PVR. I think the key thing is that you don't have to open the TDF file on your computer, just save it to your desktop and then transfer it to the USB stick. Once you put the USB stick into the PVR it will be OK from there.
I'll be doing either 'Save to...USB storage device' or dragging & dropping the TSF file to the USB storage device once I get it.

At least that's what I'm hoping because I was doing the same thing as you Meg and trying to open the TDF file on my computer. I'm off to the shops tomorrow to get myself a USB stick so I can't say for sure yet if I'm right or not!!
